FAGAT SURVEY: Kang Suh
We’re back! This week, our contributor tells of her favorite K-town gem. Mina Joo, emcee of Misnomers, an innovative hip hop group, gives us the scoop on the OG of korean cuisine, Kang Suh. A korean herself, she knows her banchan and she lets us in a little secret, too…

- Address: 1250 Broadway, New York, NY 10001 (32nd St.)
- Notes: I’ve been here way too many times to count and I can’t remember a bland nor overseasoned dish. Quite consistent cooking. For lunch my favorite thing to get is jjahmpong, a spicy mixed noodle, meat, seafood, and vegetable soup, and for dinner, yookgaejahng, a spicy shredded beef soup with mountain roots and vegetables, glass noodles, and lots of scallions. One last tip, which applies to any Korean restaurant: go with at least 1 Korean. They’ll be nicer and you’ll get better service.
