IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD: TACOS
One day, we decided to skip over to Rico’s Taco’s to sample their fares. Go, Sunset Park, Brooklyn!
This was the “Marinated Pork” taco. Super Yum.
Pollo. Yawn.
Beef tongue or “Lengua”. Okay. Very moist.
Ok. Here’s the winner. This was their version of a “Cuban”. A Cuban sandwich is roast pork, ham, swiss, mustard and pickle on a sub roll (often pressed, but served warm/hot). Rica’s “Cuban” had gyro meat, chorizo, hot dog, fried egg, ham, queso blanco (Mexican string cheese), avocado, jalepeno, tomato, lettuce, and tons of mayo. No mustard. On a roll. Ree-DICK-U-LOUS. I will call this the “Hungover Cuban”.
