RIP VIVACIOUS CARROT PEELER GUY
Many of you may have noticed this gentlemen, Joe Ades, over the years, sitting and peeling carrots in Union Square, boisterously dictating the benefits of the swift blade he wielded. Well he passed a week ago and I just wanted to share his story with you readers as it’s definitely worthy of your time. When I die, I’d want people to see my carrot peels and know “I was here”.
Sam- this was a killer post and a great NYT article to go along with it. It’s funny how you take some people for granted as they are almost like fixtures in this crazy place. I know now that I will always walk by where he sat and wish I could listen to him one more time.
