In an effort to find that secret, empty, “no one goes to this one” DMV, my boo and I tromped down to Coney Island. Unfortunately, this IS NOT THE SECRET. It was packed and gross. I won’t go into it, though. However, since we were down there, we decided we might as well make the best of a shitty sitch. It was also raining all day so it was wet and chilly. We went to the NY Aquarium and had a nice light dinner at a Russian spot on the boardwalk in Brighton Beach. I’m feelin’ pelmenis and varenyky’s, or the slavic version of dumplings. Pelmini is usually filled with meat, similar to chinese soup wontons. The varenyky we got were filled with sour cherry, topped with sour cream. Both were boiled and served in a light broth, one beef, one cherry. So yum.

Because of the weather, NO ONE was at the aquarium, especially loud obnoxious kids on field trips so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. Take a look at all the beauty and cuties!
